"Love has an immense ability to help heal the devastating wounds that life sometimes deals us.
Love also enhances our sense of connection to the larger world. Loving responsiveness is the foundation of a truly compassionate, civilised society."
Dr Sue Johnson
I am a relationship counsellor and group facilitator with a passion for helping couples reach their full potential within their relationship. I have more than 10 years' experience working with Australia's leading relationship organisation, facilitating optimal outcomes for people in a number of settings including counselling, workshops and relationship education programs.
Through this experience I have come to understand that despite the many pressures and hardships encountered in relationships, true healing and stronger connections are possible.
Throughout my career, I have worked with all members of family systems as they face life's difficulties, transitions and change. Through education and counselling, I have assisted and empowered parents, children and grandparents of a family system to break patterns of long term conflict and distress.
I thrive on helping people to be the best they can be by taking a client focused and strength based approach; being an advocate for those who feel they are not being heard; and by promoting independence. My clients have described me as calm, warm, patient and understanding. My younger clients appreciate my creativity and sense of fun.
In addition to my background in delivering a range of relationship workshops, I am also experienced in working with High School students and Carers through Extreme Calm - a relaxation program I developed for those experiencing exam stress or compassion fatigue.
